The course

Two days on the high moor above Kelderby, where there are few paths and fewer landmarks. You’ll practise contour interpretation, aiming off, attack points and relocating yourself when you’re not sure where you are.

On Sunday we stay out after sunset for a two-hour night navigation session, finishing back at the village hall around 8pm.

Who it’s for

Walkers who have done Map and Compass Basics, or are already happy taking a bearing. A good step towards leading your own walks on the high fells.
